LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Point Loma Nazarene was held to four hits in a 6-0 exhibition loss to NCAA Division II UC San Diego at Triton Field Monday evening. The two crosstown teams utilized a combined 12 pitchers with a different PLNU hurler toeing the rubber for each inning.

UC San Diego plated a run in the second, two in the fifth and three in the sixth while four Triton pitchers held the Sea Lion offense in check.

PLNU heads to the Phoenix area to compete against three NAIA teams in a tournament held at Boulder Creek HS in Anthem. The first opponent for the Sea Lions is conference foe Fresno Pacific Thursday at 9:30 am, though that contest will not count as a GSAC game.
