SAN DIEGO -
Brooks Baldinger and
Jakob Kevelaerts of the Point Loma men's tennis team have both named to the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) All-West Region second team.
Baldinger, a junior from San Jose, Calif. (Branham HS), played the No. 1 singles spot throughout the season for the Sea Lions. He went 7-13 on the season in singles play and 8-15 in doubles. Six of his seven victories in singles came in straight sets.
Kevelaerts alternated between No. 2 and No. 3 singles player most of the season for PLNU. He went 9-10 in singles play, which included a four match winning streak. Kevelaerts and Baldinger would also team up in doubles the last part of the season and go 4-4.
