Point Loma dominated in the first set after hitting .464, overturning an 8-9 deficit to score 17 of the final 18 points, which included a 12-0 run to end the opening stanza.

The Sea Lions also took set two, hitting an efficient .366, before the Penguins battled back to force a fourth set.

PLNU then limited Dominican to just a .098 attacking percentage in what proved to be the final set, as the Sea Lions' stretch of six straight sweeps ended but their winning streak continued.

Abigail Nua (16 kills),
Saren Rogers (15 kills) and
Hailey Clark (11 kills) all recorded double-digit kills, with
Sophia Baugh (41 assists) orchestrating the offense in addition to her four service aces.

Macy Reynolds had 25 digs, while
Kira Federico had 15 and Baugh added 10 to record a double-double.
